About 15 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles, the affluent and charming suburb of Brentwood provides a cozy enclave for residents. Situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this community is surrounded by spacious parks and lush plant life. Among all L.A. area neighborhoods, Brentwood is easily one of the most desirable. The community borders Santa Monica, the 405, and the awe-inspiring Will Rogers State Historic Park.

Strolling along this bustling street, you’ll find even more top-rated restaurants, including Pizzana, Baltaire, Mendocino Farms, Coral Tree Cafe, and Katsuya Brentwood. Along (and just off of) San Vicente, shop at favorite stores such as Vicente Foods, Whole Foods Market, BusterPro Tennis, Theory Brentwood, and Earthbar Brentwood.

Near Sunset Boulevard, check out the selection at Milk Boutique, Gloria S. Boutique, Jennifer Knits, Anthony's Flowers, and Market.

Things to Do

In addition to the shops and restaurants located on San Vicente, this enclave has a plethora of arts, enterprise, and entertainment opportunities. One of the most well-known area attractions is The Getty. This spacious art museum offers no-cost admission to its numerous exhibits and gardens. On Sundays, be sure to stop by the Brentwood Farmers Market. Open from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., vendors from across the area offer local foods and handmade goods.

Want to explore the outdoors? Step out into nature at any of the surrounding parks or trails. Spend the morning or afternoon at Mandeville Canyon Park, Will Rogers State Historic Park, Rustic Creek Waterfall, Tumbleweed Garden, or Sullivan Canyon Park. You can also apply for membership at one of Brentwood’s nearby country clubs — including Brentwood Country Club, Riviera Country Club, and Bel-Air Country Club.
